Thanita Khomphatraporn, WG’98

Thanita Khomphatraporn, WG’98, is currently an executive director in management consulting and a practice leader in people and change service for KPMG Thailand. She has business practice both in the international and domestic arenas, as well as a firm academic background in business and management.

Khomphatraporn worked for a Japanese trading company after receiving her Bachelor degree in Economics from Osaka University in Japan. She went on to earn an MBA from the Wharton School in 1998. After graduation she began her career at Kasikorn Bank, having opportunities to work in both corporate and retail banking businesses. In 2002, Khomphatraporn became an executive vice president in business development and investor relations for Nation Multimedia Group and also a managing director at Media Pulse, a magazine publisher and an affiliated company of Nation Multimedia Group in Thailand. She also served as a consulting director of Hay Group Consulting (Thailand), before joining On Semiconductor as an Asia Regional Director in Human Capital Management.

Throughout her career, Khomphatraporn has developed both domestic and international expertise in strategic management, business development, sales, and marketing at leading international and domestic companies. She also has direct experience in banking, media and entertainment, manufacturing, and consulting industries. She has been an invited guest speaker at local and international seminars and at King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi and Bangkok University. She was also a part-time lecturer at the College of Management, Mahidol University for both international and Thai programs on a number of topics.
